About Dr. Ang
I Help Black Women Stop Surviving the Lives They Worked So Hard to Build.

I am Dr. Angie Kearns. People call me The Prosperity Queen. But before any of that, I was the woman everybody depended on.
I have built businesses. I have navigated major life chapters. I have been the one who held things together when holding things together was the only option anyone could see — including me.
For a long time I was highly capable and quietly exhausted by my own capability. I did not need someone to tell me what was wrong. I could see it. I needed someone to help me survive what I felt when I stopped performing the role I had been handed.
I stopped performing strength and started living from truth.
Why I See What I See
I am not standing outside of this, studying you.
I have lived inside many of the same patterns. The over-functioning. The guilt that shows up the moment you stop. The strange grief of realizing the life you built is running on you, and no one — including you — knows what happens when you set it down.
My authority is not academic. It is lived. I have been in that emotional neighborhood. I know which houses are which.
That is how I can sit across from a woman and see beneath what she says is happening — to the emotional pattern underneath it. Not because I am reading her. Because I recognize her.
How This Became Emotional Fitness
I kept watching capable women — women I coached, mentored, sat beside — do extraordinary things and still feel like strangers in their own lives. They knew what to do. They could not always survive how it felt to do it.
Over time, I began describing this work as emotional fitness: the emotional capacity to live in alignment with what you already know, especially when doing so costs you comfort, approval, familiarity, or the role you have always played.
